The Southern Great Lakes Symphony has been providing great classical music to Downriver audiences for more than 50 years, the only professional orchestra in this area.

Throughout the years the Symphony has been successful in gaining support from major sponsors including The Overture Society, MASCO, The News Herald, MCACA, the Kresge Foundation, and the Shumate Endowment for the Arts

Each contributor over $25.00 is acknowledged in SGLS programs and in publicity. The 2008-2009 season was made possible through many generous contributors.
